Unlimited ? whats the catch?

A lot of people ask us what’s the catch with our deals, after all – nothing is unlimited. Well that is really the point, nothing is unlimited, therefore you will never hear us refer to something as unlimited (unless it really is – like asking us questions!) but you will hear us say something is unmetered.

Unlimited to us means that there are no limits, you can use as much as you like with no artificial limits or worries about exceeding some limits.

Unmetered to us means that we will not monitor or meter what you use. There are limits but they are down to the technology, not us saying you can only use a specific number.

So for example, your bandwidth is unmetered, you can use as much as you like. However there is only so much bandwidth that a server can handle, and the network connection will only ever deliver a maximum throughput.

To use an example, there are no limits how many people can go down a stretch of road, but there are limits on how many people can fit on that stretch of road at any one time. This is the same with bandwidth, and it is the same with any host. We just choose to be open and honest and say that you can go nuts on the bandwidth, up to the point at which the technology limits you.
